Dale Grigg

Dale has 50 years of construction experience including contract administration, program management, project management, construction management, and quality control and quality assurance. His experience includes heavy highway and bridge construction; construction materials; road, bridge, and pavement design, site-civil and building construction. A large part of his experience includes a 35-year career with VDOT, and 28 years working directly within its Lynchburg District. Mr. Grigg’s experience also includes scheduling, budgeting, constructability and value engineering reviews, dispute resolution, and negotiating. He has managed multiple Construction contracts and spent 12 years as District Construction Engineer for VDOT in Lynchburg. He has served as the Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) on six VDOT Design-Build contracts.

Dale currently lives in Forest VA with his wife of 40 years, Ruth Ann. They have three children, a daughter currently in San Francisco CA, a son in Little Rock AK, and a son in Richmond VA. They have four grandchildren, all boys ranging from 4 – 10 years old: three in Richmond and one in Little Rock. Dale and Ruth Ann are long-time members of Heritage Baptist Church where both have served in various capacities over the years, with a highlight being a short-term mission trip to North Africa in 2018. Dale enjoys listening to music, both at home and at live venues, as well as outdoor activities including hiking and bicycling. He especially enjoys spending time with his family, including vacationing together at various North Carolina beaches most summers.

Dale semi-retired in 2022 after consulting with MBP for the previous 14 years.  He joined the Valor Farm Team in January 2023 as a volunteer, with a focus on project management. Dale says “It is definitely a privilege to be part of the Valor Farm ministry serving God by helping to restore our veteran Patriots to healthy and productive lives.”

Resilience: Learning to Bounce
